Co-founder of Rise Art

Scott's founded Rise Art in 2011 and and works with our artists and collectors on a daily basis. Scott holds an MBA from London Business School and is passionate about the art and creative sectors. An avid art collector of emerging artists, Scott owns work by a number of artists on the website. 

PHIN JENNINGS

Curator

Phin is the lead Curator at Rise Art, he takes care of finding wonderful undiscovered artists from around the world and sharing their work with the team and our clients. He studied Philosophy at university, specialising in modern European ideas about art. He can often be found swanning around private views in London's Fitzrovia.

LAUREL BOUYE

Head of Artist and Gallery Relations 

 Laurel is Rise Art’s Head of Artist and Gallery Relations. Her role is to connect with creative-minded individuals and artistic establishments across the globe to build collaborative relationships and explore new ways of showcasing art. She holds a Masters of Art History and currently lives in France, where she thrives on its rich artistic and culinary culture.

Sophie joined Rise Art in 2019 as a digital content writer and has since taken on the role of Artist Liaison, supporting artists in maintaining and promoting their profiles and contributing editorial content. She holds a BA in French with English from King's College London and is also a Yoga Instructor; when not at galleries or writing about emerging artists, you can find her teaching at London yoga studios.

SETTING UP YOUR PROFILE

CREATING YOUR SELLERS ACCOUNT

When you log in for the first time to the seller console, you’ll be taken through a series of onboarding questions. Here’s what we’ll ask and why:

  • Preferred currency - to set your prices and the currency in which you’ll be paid
  • Where you’ll ship from - this can help collectors understand any additional shipping costs and custom duties
  • How long you’ll need to dispatch a work following a sale - so collectors know when to expect delivery

Please note: there is no fee to join or use the Rise Art platform. This information is so we can pay you in the event of a sale.

*Rise Art only charges VAT on their commission for UK sellers. However, VAT registered EU sellers may want their VAT status declared on their commission statements for their own accounting purposes.

 You’ll also be asked to upload a scan of a government-issued ID (e.g. driver licence or passport) for anti-money laundering regulations and to verify your legal name.

MELISA ÖNCÜL

Operation and Customer Service Lead

Melisa, with over six years’ experience working within e-commerce, leads the Sales and Customer Ops Team at Rise Art. Alongside her dedication to working with and providing world-class support to both collectors and artists, Melisa is a practising designer and maker specialising in ceramics.

ASIA PETTITT

Operation and Customer Service Associate

Asia is a Fine Art graduate with a passion for working with collectors and artists. Asia works with the Sales and Customer Ops Team to ensure the best possible experience for our clients, from artwork selection through to delivery and installation.  In her free time, Asia enjoys attending exhibitions around London and has her own art practice.

MÉRÉDITH HEINRICH

Originally from Paris, France, Mérédith offers multilingual pre and post purchase support to our collectors around the world. Mérédith is committed to providing seamless customer experience, from purchase through to delivery. SHIPPING

Rise Art manages all shipping and customs procedures on behalf of artists, so you can spend more time focusing on what matters: your art.


PACKAGING

In order to organise your shipping, we request that artists package their work appropriately and share the following:

  • Accurate package dimensions
  • Package weight 
  • Confirmation of your collection address
  • Photos of the packing stages, plus a final image of the packaged work

COMMISSION

Rise Art charges 42.5% commission on each sale. This includes all payment processing fees.

Here is a pricing example for an artwork selling for £1,000:

  • Artwork Sale Price: £1,000
  • Rise Art Commission (42.5%): £425.00
  • Seller Receipt: £575.00

PAYMENT

Our payment process starts once your artwork has been shipped and will be completed within 30-days of artwork postage or shipment. You’ll receive a commission statement via email, including the payment due date.


RETURNS

In line with European distance selling regulations, we offer a 14-day returns policy. Rise Art covers the cost of return shipping and manages return processes end to end.

Our generous return policy encourages more purchases and customer loyalty. On average, less than 2.5% of all artworks are returned.

We’ll never have you ship a work for a viewing unless you are comfortable doing so, and will be available to offer help and support throughout the process.
