The artwork you see on the website will always look better in person. But if it’s not exactly what you expected, it’s free and easy to return.
Each artist considered for representation is objectively scored on 11 factors ranging from exhibition history to degree qualifications in order to assess the strength of their practice. In 2021, less than 3% of all artist submissions to Rise Art were successful.

SARAH MARTIN
Head of Exhibitions at Turner Contemporary
Sarah Martin is Head of Exhibitions at Turner Contemporary in Margate. Over the 10 years she's been with Turner Contemporary, Sarah has worked on projects, exhibitions and commissions with renowned artists, including Daniel Buren, Alex Katz, Edmund de Waal and Laura Ford. Sarah has also worked for Camden Arts Centre and the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art.
RICHARD WILSON
Artist, Turner Prize Nominee
Richard Wilson is one of Britain’s most renowned sculptors. He has been nominated twice for the Turner Prize and has represented Britain in the Sydney, Sao Paulo, Venice and Aperto Biennials, plus the Yokohama and Aichi Triennal. Richard has exhibited nationally and internationally for over 40 years and has been the subject of major museum exhibitions and public works in countries as diverse as Japan, China, Hong Kong USA, Brazil, Mexico, Russia, Australia and Iraq. He was elected a member of the Royal Academy in 2006.

Fatoş Üstek is a London-based curator and writer. She is currently Chair of Bloomberg New Contemporaries, and prior to that was Director of the Liverpool Biennial. She has previously curated miart Talks 2018, Milano; Art Night 2017, East London; and fig-2, 50 projects in 50 weeks, 2015, ICA Studio, London.

Deputy Editor of the Financial Times How To Spend It
Beatrice Hodgkin is Deputy Editor of the Financial Times How To Spend It magazine. She joined How To Spend It after a 4-year stint as Culture Editor at Conde Nast's Easy Living magazine. Beatrice has also published several books, including 'Affordable Contemporary Art: a Guide to Buying and Collecting'.

Gavin Turk is a British born, international artist. He's pioneered many forms of contemporary British sculpture now taken for granted, including the painted bronze, the waxwork, the recycled art-historical icon and the use of rubbish in art.

Artist
Antony Micallef is a British artist who’s recognised as one of the finest painters in contemporary art today. He was tutored by the great landscape painter John Virtue, who was taught by renowned post war painter Frank Auerbach. Antony has exhibited in group shows at the National Portrait Gallery, the Royal Academy and Tate Britain. His work is held in collections around the world.

Touria El Glaoui is Founding Director of 1:54 Contemporary African Art Fair, which takes place in London, New York and Marrakech every year. She has been named one of Forbes’ 100 most powerful women in Africa, and by New African as one of the most influential Africans in business. She has spoken widely on contemporary African art and women in leadership around the world.
JEAN WAINWRIGHT
Director of the School of Fine Art and Photography Research Centre at the University for the Creative Arts, London
Jean Wainwright is Director of the School of Fine Art and Photography Research Centre at the University for the Creative Arts in London. She’s an art historian, critic and curator. Jean regularly publishes books and catalogues, and she’s often interviewed about her work on radio and TV.
FIONA BANNER
Artist, Turner Prize Nominee
Fiona Banner’s work centres on the problems and possibilities of language, both written and metaphorical. Her work encompasses text, sculpture, drawing, film and installation. Fiona became known for her early written transcriptions of Hollywood war films such as Top Gun and Apocalypse Now. Publishing, in the broadest sense, is at the heart of her practice. In 1997 she started working under the title of The Vanity Press. She has published books, objects, and performances - often deploying a playful attitude and bringing pseudo grandeur to the act of publishing.

Elsa is Head of Corporate Relations at Rise Art. After completing her studies in Art History, Elsa travelled the length and breadth of France. In 2019, she returned to Bordeaux; her first love. Elsa is passionate about advising and assisting private and professional collectors in their search for that rare gem.

Head of Artist and Gallery Relations
Laurel is Rise Art’s Head of Artist and Gallery Relations. Her role is to connect with creative-minded individuals and artistic establishments across the globe to build collaborative relationships and explore new ways of showcasing art. She holds a Masters of Art History and currently lives in France, where she thrives on its rich artistic and culinary culture.
MELISA ÖNCÜL
Operation and Customer Service Lead
Melisa, a Textile Design graduate with over five years’ experience working in e-commerce, leads the Customer Ops Team at Rise Art. Alongside her dedication working with artists and collectors to facilitate the shipment of original art around the globe, Melisa is a practising designer & maker, specialising in ceramics.
